04/22/2013 7:44 pmI have been coming to this restaurant for nearly 8 years. They had one of my favorite dishes in this entire city. I eat out a fair amount, and I have worked in the food industry for 12 years. The ownership in the last year has changed hands and my favorite dish is now complete crap. I would never order it again, and I will never return to this restaurant again. I literally used to clean every drop on my plate, and now I didn't finish anything. The biscuit doesn't taste fresh, the spaetzle is greasy and not fresh, the chicken was dry and tastes completely different than before, and the gravy tasted like it came from a box. |

05/20/2012 2:52 amBeen coming here for years and they have never let me or my family down. I've moved to the Plano area and still drive all the way back to them for Bavarian/German food. The quiet atmosphere, fresh food, friendly staff, and great bakery selection brings my family in every time the visit from out of state as well. I'll be sure to add some photos of the great food! I hope we can keep this gem around for a VERY long time to come. |

02/13/2010 10:26 pmI visit several times a month in morning for pastry), and the pastries are consistently excellent. Try the apple dumpling if, like me, you prefer not super-sweet. They have a deli-style lunch menu, with about 10 'standard' sandwich's or you can create your own. In addition, they have daily specials of the German variety -- I have not tried these, I usually go for the avocado sandwich or a ham and cheese. The German potato salad they serve with the lunch platter is very, very good. The servers have always been very friendly with me. I have not been there for dinner, so can't speak to that. BTW, they have some very interesting clocks -- one is so big they had to cut a hole in roof to fit it in! |

10/02/2009 4:29 amMy family has been dining at Bavarian Bakery for years and we always have an excellent experience. We all rave about the chicken schnitzel and spaetzle, and my husband and his father can vouch for all the sausages and other sides as well. The staff is always really nice, and as far as the reviews of anyone being "rude", it's always busy on the 2 nights they actually do serve dinner, so you just have to be patient! The food is well worth the wait AND the drive. Given all the regulars, my family included, it's no surprise that this place serves a great dinner! |
