I had Beckers Bakery do my wedding cake. I was disappointed. Their door says "We specialize in Custom Cakes!". However, when I brought them my idea for a custom wedding cake, they said it was not possible even after bringing them the recipe and step by step instructions. The sales person wasn't polite about it either. I ended up having to chose a different design. They promised to open their shop for me on their off day (due to the inconvenience of not being able to make my original cake design), which was a thoughtful gesture, but they failed to follow through. I had to pick up my wedding cake 3 days before my wedding. They insured me that the cake would be fine for 3 days. 24 hours after picking up the cake, a section of the cake started to fall apart. My mom and I had to piece it together before the wedding. Also, the 3 tier cake had no cake dowels. While my husband and I cut the cake on the wedding day, not knowing there wasn't any support in the cake, it fell over. It was a mess to serve.
I understand people make mistakes, but I was truly disappointed. The one good thing that did come out of this was that the cake did taste good. But I will not be returning to this baker.

I was really excited about getting my baby shower cake here after decent reviews and they were a mom's & pop's community bakery. Needless to say I was highly disappointed. The customer service is horrible. I ordered a cake from the photos that were available in the bakery. When I received the cake it was nothing like the photo.. AT ALL it was poorly designed (zebra cake). When I requested t o have the cake made over I felt like I was being attacked. Needless to say I got my cake made over. It tasted horrible and it was dry like it sat out all day & night not to mention the 20+ cupcakes I ordered were dry and the icing looked hard as a rock. I was so disgusted I went to publix and ordered cupcakes. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, save your money!

Visited Becker's since we were at the Valvoline next door. Thought we would see what the place was like and get a little treat while we were there. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed that she had a customer. We could have been a couple about to be married looking for a wedding cake, and the woman was just grouchy to us. My girlfriend was disappointed since she has been wanting to visit them the past 2 months, and when we finally see them open, they just ruin the experience. Will not be going back for anything. Would rather go to Krogers before we go back there.

I ordered a Power "T" cake for my boyfriend's birthday (he's a huge Vols fan) and absolutley LOVED it. Great service and delicious cake!

We stopped in the other day for a quick treat and were disappointed that the woman at the counter barely acknowledged us. She was visibly annoyed when we asked questions about what things were. The baked goods we bought were tasty, but we were looking forward to the personal touch of a local bakery vs. Kroger and it just wasn't there. Not sure we'll be back...
