01/19/2016 8:28 pmHeard great things about this place but despite all the good things that I had heard, our experience was horrible. I took my girlfriend there for a date and will never go back. The waitress seemed almost like she felt entitled and didn't acknowledge when I said thank you for my water she just walked away. One of my meals was completely wrong, the breakfast was mediocre at best, and I really wasn't impressed. I love breakfast food but becky's just didn't do it for me. I've had much better breakfast regardless of price. I feel like this place is just a tourist trap with rude waitresses and mediocre food. |

01/18/2016 8:22 pmLegit diner with locals coming in to top up on cholesterol with a proper fry up or omelette. Lobster omelette is fresh and tasty. Fruit bowls are highly recommended too. The line to get in is normally just for the tables, while access to stools at the bar seems easier. |

11/16/2015 10:08 pmJust a classic, super cheap, friendly, delicious, New England diner. Exactly what I was looking for. I can confidently say, I will have every breakfast here every time I'm in Portland. |

10/18/2015 6:45 pmSo I was there with my father and we were having a breakfast and it was busy. I have an allergy to wheat. Not something I chose to have. The waitress with blond hair came over and asked what we wanted. Took a long time for my father to get his coffee. She waited on several other people prior to that. Then she came over to order. I do not get to get a burger with gluten free bread often at a restaurant. So I ordered that and home fries. She said the cooks won't do that for me. She explained they thru the home fries in the fryer. They are tooo busy to cook it on the grill. I couldn't believe she was telling me this. I then asked can't you ask them. Now I don't get to eat out often with my dad because he doesn't live close by. Plus I don't go out much because I am working long hours. So when she was snippy with me and went to ask the cooks they still refused. Hmmmmm how hard is it to cook a little bit of home fries for one person. My part time job I have to cook for sometimes 200 people and sometimes I have all the burners the oven and grill going and I still accommodate all the food allergies. I was expressing myself at how I thought this was ridiculous and rude for them to do that. She then tells me not to take it out on her....Hmmm I wasn't I said I am expressing myself. SHe then ignored our table and we had to ask for coffee and I got chips...Whoopie do... I will never ever ever go there again...And if you have allergies good luck because if they are too busy you are screwed...Plus the ladies there have a chip on their shoulder and are rude as $$$hit!!! I tried to speak to the owner today and she wasn't there. I asked for VM and she doesn't have it...That is ridiculous...I miss the old Becky's where the waitresses were nice and the cooks were awesome!!!! This new becky's really needs a reality check and is only in business because of the ours and convenience they are and the name the past made for them... |

08/11/2015 8:29 pmIf Rambo and Macgyver got together to set Maine's greatest tourist trap since the town of Freeport, it would be Becky's. Becky's relies on their history of being an old waterfront diner to pull the wool over their customers eyes, and blind them from the fact that the food is mediocre at best. Becky's Diner is where people who have never been to Portland, but picked up a guidebook at the Kennebunk rest stop go to eat. |
