Food:

They refused to redeem their own gift card due to the failure of reading the magnetic label, and said no information can be tracked although I know there is money on the card. I think their behavior is against law. I appreciate it if someone can direct me to the right government department to sue them.

My quest has been to hit up all the restaurants on South Park street and I just had the chance to visit ichiban Sichuan. My wife and I ordered two dishes. We were going to order two chicken dishes with out it being spicy. However, the server was thoughtful enough to ask the chef if that was a good idea. It turns out the two dishes would have tasted the same.

We settled on Beef with ginger and scallions and Kung pao chicken. I think these two dishes were amazing. The chicken was lightly breaded and the sauce was light yet flavorful. The flavors of the beef dish worked really well together. Both dishes were filling and we brought some leftovers home. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a more authentic fare.

Great food! We stopped on after visiting the zoo and at 2 pm on a Tuesday, there was plenty of parking. The food was great & prices for the portions we had were great! I would recommend this restaurant as everything we had we all enjoyed!

I love this place! Crispy Chicken, Poached fish, Barbecue Beef. It's all hot and tongue numbing goodness. I love Sichuan food! If you never had Sichuan it is known for its spiciness. I'm surprised just how popular this is, considering that the Midwest seems to think Salt and Pepper can be over powering. Just a head up, if you like spicy food this is your place. Don't get me wrong, there are things like walnut shrimp that are not spicy and equally as good.

Mushrooms were slimy, curry lacked in any flavor, Mongolian shrimp was boring, and shrimp were overcooked, just not good. I'd never eat here again with all the other options in Madison, 5 stars... not even close. Update: Tried the fried rice my coworker got, also not good- rice was overcooked and flavor was blah.
