11/20/2015 3:43 amThe only art theatre in Nashville -- here you will find the latest indie and foreign film gems, cult favorites, as well as classics, depending on the time of year. Loads of great musical and local events here, as well. Worthwhile membership, too, as a nonprofit. Located in a great neighborhood around Vanderbilt University and Belmont University, and just down the street from the famous Pancake Pantry. |

11/17/2015 4:08 pmNashville's non-profit theater. This is really unique movie theater. It feels like and Indi movie theater. They offer a wide not-your-run-of-the-mill eating fair, including alcoholic beverages. Their movies are not the same you would find a corporate chain movie theater but the indie and not very well known movies. They give you a parking voucher when you purchase a movie ticket. |

11/17/2015 2:19 pmFirst-rate art house and independent cinema, showing foreign, indie, and the occasional mainstream film. Features a full bar, and locally-made snacks. |

08/03/2015 12:28 amI came on a visit with the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program and we received an interesting tour of the projection booths that still run traditional film. I had never seen that kind of equipment before, so I appreciated that. We then watched Hitchcock's The Birds in newer theater and were offered free concessions. Definitely look into other educational opportunities Belcourt provides. |

06/14/2015 2:36 amThe Belcourt is the ideal theater: nice location, free parking, great movie selection (a mix of indie, art house, and major releases), good beer selection, super friendly awesome staff, historic building, local art on the walls. I love this theater and am so happy that it exists. I will be a member as long as I live in town. The guy below me who complained about parking is full of it, parking is free. You have to put your receipt on your dash, but this is clearly explained, so if you get a ticket that's on you brah! |
