Fresh squeezed 16oz sweet orange juice $3 that almost tasted like nectar, soft but chewy $2 bagels made in house with lots of spreads homemade spreads .50-$1 to choose from. I was in heaven. Be patient with the service time & don't expect to be chatted up but you will feel the love in food & space. Spotless, spacious, wabi wabi... I wish I lived in Atlanta. I ate breakfast here 3 times in 3 days. Do yourself a favor.

i live in west midtown off howell mill rd. i do like a good bagel. you cannot get one by me. there is an Einsteins bagel place by me but that spot is the mcdonalds for bagels. a little outrageous and very 2014 like. wish there was a farmers market by me but hey that is for another day. so i decided i would race across town before my rock n roll band rehearsal at 11 am and grab a bagel from belly. i think they have the best bagels around. you can taste that they are not full of crap and are made with few and good ingredients.I parked my car on the street and paid the meter. i dont think there were meters there several years ago, what a joke. steal from the people. i walk into belly. there is one lady who obviously works there and she making someones food. (only a few customers inside) There is actually a very fat sexy woman inside chowing down on her meat lovers delight.) i walk to the counter with a big smile on my face and say, "good morning." no response. I say, "what a lovely day, good morning." no response. the lady clearly sees me and is ignoring me. and she is working at a snails pace. i stand there for a few minutes a little bewildered at my cruel treatment. (i feel like I am on a ship in the indian ocean in the year 1499 and have been outcast ed and ostracized by the crew.) I walk all the way and peak into the kitchen of belly and there is a very pretty latin girl mopping the floor. She is using the purple pine saw cleaner stuff. love the smell! she sees me and i say, "I want to be a customer here." She turns to this other guy who looks at me and does not say anything but walks on out to behind the counter and finally takes my order. If i was the manager i would have fired both those employees at that moment. the worst customer service in atlanta. rude, not friendly, no good morning or how are you. these people dont deserve a job. this was a thurs morning. dont go there on thurs mornings.

Just went into Belly two days ago and had a terrible experience. I chose a few items and went to the register, only to have the woman behind the counter be EXTREMELY rude to me. She then told me I'd have to pay for each of my items separately, and that she had to get someone upstairs to come down and do the transaction. I let them keep their merchandise, and I won't be back. Ever.

An "adorable" take on a general store with small food provisions and a take-out counter, this American breakfast and lunch–only spot in Virginia-Highlands serves "delicious" bagels and "sandwiches packed with quality ingredients"; "friendly" service and a rustic setting with a communal table lend it "warmth" and make it a "lovely meeting spot for the neighborhood."|"Your belly is the focus" of this "appropriately named" modern take on a general store in Virginia-Highland that's a "reliable stop" for "tasty" bagels, "wonderful" sandwiches and other "simple" American items for the price of a few crumbs; service can be variable but the "utterly unpretentious" ambiance and "small-town" feel are constants.
