Food:

Great comfortable neighborhood spot for after work--half a block from bart--and weekend afternoons. Huge beer selection that is usually very IPA-friendly and often the best cider on tap--Golden State. Kid friendly. Yummy food. The big bird sandwich is awesome as is the reuben. Trivia night on Tuesdays is very popular and always packed. Also very busy on big game days. Definitely my preference over Barclay's up the street, despite not having a patio.

When I walked in they were playing Boyz in the hood. You can't go wrong with that. You know it's where it's at. Music is great. Pool Table and TVs. Decent bar. Bartender was OK. Nice but not friendly.

We dropped in for some grub since it was a nice day and the place has big windows opened up to the warm weather. I saw the nice collection of tap handles circling the place, so I knew this would be a nice place for a beer. A basketball game was on but there are only a few TVs with limited view so we couldn't see the game.

I was thirsty for some ice-cold beer. I didn't see a huge beer selection but then again I couldn't really read the chalkboard from where we sat. Ordered an IPA + food. But after the food and beer came we never saw our server again until we were ready to leave. I could have gone for a couple more beers. Or even a water refill. So I guess it's probably better to get your own beers from the bar.

The food was pretty good--we split a sandwich and chicken salad. It's nice to find pubs that serve at least a few items that aren't drenched in dripping grease.

I luv you but your chips really suck. I'd rather have a pile of fritos. Just cuz they're homemade doesn't make em good :) keep up the good work! And by that I mean everything but your chips.
