I needed to work late so I thought take-out Chinese was a great idea. Unfortunately, I chose Yen's. My wife called in the order, and I planned to pick it up on the way home. I gave the restaurant 30 minutes to prepare it and drove over. After waiting 5 minutes in line to talk to the host/cashier, I gave my last name. She gave me no indication as to whether or not my order was ready.

I figured it's Friday night, the place is 1/3 full, maybe the cook is just slow. 15 minutes later, I again asked if my order was ready and was told that she didn't have an order under that name (first or last). Trying again, I annunciated as best as possible my wife's full name. Still nothing. Finally someone came out of the kitchen with my order and accused me of giving the wrong name.

I get that names can be hard, but it's horrible customer service to ignore me because you didn't understand the pronunciation. It's not that busy of a restaurant, so keeping track of orders shouldn't be that hard.

I don't have much positive to say about the food, it's comparable to the Chinese food from a mall food court. The interior of the place is dirty and worn. The location is convenient, but parking is awful.

I'll be sticking with Wu's Open Kitchen for my future take-out needs.

I'd give them negative stars if possible. I had to throw the food away, it wasn't even good enough for my dogs. Tasted like it came from a can. Ingredients obviously not fresh. Go hear with someone you are trying to poison, otherwise, go anywhere else.

I went to their website to place an order for two for lunch. Based on the pricing on the website the total should have been about $30-35 which is pretty reasonable. However once I called adn we got to the total they instead they tried to charge me about $45 saying that the prices on the website were incorrect (even their own PDF menu?). And they will not honor their own online pricing either. So no, I won't be going in to pay almost 25% more than their listed prices when there is another chinese food restaurant 10 minutes away (with pricing similar to what is listed on this apparently invalid menu).

Not cool.

I wanted to try some places near me, so I decided to check out this place, bad mistake. I just finished eating and was really REALLY disappointed for the monew I wasted. They messed up my order ( I asked for pan friend potstickers and they came steamed). My sweet and sour pork was more like sweet and sour mashed potatoes and the kung pow chicken was more like kung pow veggies. Will not be going back. Don't waste your money either!

I've been going here since it was Yans. (Personally, I think it was better when it was Yans.) The food is still pretty good however and they have the best fried shrimp in town albeit pretty greasy sometimes. My biggest complaint is the over use of cornstarch or some thickener. I do take out quite often and heaven forbid I have leftover egg foo young because the next day the gravy is just one solid, congealed mass that even the microwave can't melt. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is fast. It'a a good place to go if you want Chinese food that's not pretentious and you're hungry.
