It's a San Antonio favorite and for good reason. The empanadas are great especially the calabacita. Also great for bringing your kids with the outside playground on the rear patio. Try the frozen margaritas but 2 may have you calling uber for a ride home.

Cute restaurant with a pretty interior design of latin culture but they don't serve any kind of real authentic MEXICAN FOOD its just more south American food really. Any kind of mexican resturaunt needs to have fresh home made FLOUR tortillas not just have corn tortillas and thats it. They didnt sell any type of meat that you would get at a traditional real mexican restaurant they just sell regular burger meat that you could get from heb or wal mart. I know its suppose to be mixed of latin American and mexican food together but it really seemed more of just south American food and thats a pretty big disappointment honestly. Again its a cute little restaurant but i wont be coming back here to eat again because thier not real authentic mexicano food and when your in san antonio you need to get mexican food done right

Awesome lunch spot, with quick and friendly service. Lunch specials are a steal at $5.99. The salsa has a great spice to it, and it's served warm, along with hot queso for the chips. The chicken empanada was excellent with a soft, but flakey crust. And the jicama slaw was perfect. I can't wait to try out their other menu items.

Everything was prepared fresh. The fish taco is worth trying. It is not a Baja style taco but independent of the comparison is actually very good. The freshness and portion of the fish in the taco is mentionable. The hot sauce provided with the meal is not a standard sauce(chimi churi) but is very good with the taco. The chicken poblano empanada was good but personally was reminisce of something like chicken casserole turnover. The queso is good and on the slightly spicy side and the salsa is fresh and mild but is served hot which I personally do not like.

Pozole, Argentinian empanada, grilled fish taco and mini pumpkin pecan dessert empanada were all exceptional. 10 out of 10. Go here if you can, you won't regret it! It's not traditional Tex Mex, but it's fantastic. Honestly, quite possibly the best empanadas north of the equator. Fish taco was very clean tasting and fresh. The last time I had pozole that good was when I was in Puebla, Mexico. Service was great -- the manager asked if I was a first-timer and passed that info on to my server, Oscar, who was attentive and made great recommendations. Live music topped off the experience. Very family-friendly and unassuming.
