11/11/2014 11:41 pmThis is not the place to visit if you're craving some raw fish - but it is DELICIOUS nonetheless. It's a tiny spot with limited seating - ideal for a quick meal or takeout/delivery. The rolls and wraps are all crafted with care and made with really fresh and delicious ingredients. Though the ingredients are good enough on its own, the sauces are truly something special. The creamy texture that they achieve without using eggs/mayo is amazing. It adds another dimension of flavor and paired with the fresh ingredients is such a magical combo. I ordered the mighty mushroom roll and subbed the six grain rice with black rice - it was amazing. I also ordered the sweet angel wrap with soba noodles and sweet potatoes. They put just the right amount of spicy sauce in it and the texture of the wrap was thin and perfectly chewy, not the least bit dried out as some rice wraps tend to be. Can't wait to come back and try the other rolls! |

10/23/2014 5:44 pmCreative vegan sushi rolls. The name really fits because they go beyond the usual boring cucumber sushi rolls and really put together some delicious and visually appealing rolls. They have another location in Chelsea Market if you're on that side of the city. |

08/21/2014 6:22 pmTired of Avocado Rolls being the only veg sushi option? Head to Beyond Sushi where six-grain or forbidden black rice encircles crunchy, creamy and pickled garden and root vegetable combinations. Try the Pickle Me, Mighty Mushroom and Fiesta for a range of flavours and textures. The 8-piece rolls are masterpieces of food presentation. No one will blame you for snapping a photo or two before grabbing the chopsticks and digging in. If rolls aren't your thing, you can order salads, wraps and soups - and finally: vegan kimchi! Save a little room for the chocolate brownie made with sweet potato. The diminutive dining of three four-top tables make it an iffy choice for dining in, but Union Square & Tompkins Park are only minutes away for eating in the park. |

06/30/2014 7:45 amWe had an amazing experience here. Everything we took just tasted so good. The place is a bit small and you will need to share a table if needed, but it is one of the best Sushi places I eaten. It is indeed Sushi Beyond, basically taking Sushi to the next level of evolution. |
