This place has a pretty good buffet. Not too expensive, and with a decent selection. When we are looking for something low-cost and close-to-home, this is a possible choice.

I have lived in Back Bay for 3 years, and Bhindi Bazaar remains one of my absolute favorites. The lunch buffet is great, they have a great selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. I order takeout frequently. 3 can eat with enough food for leftovers for $40. Their perfect rice comes free when entrees are ordered for takeout. This may not be the most traditional Indian food but I consider their samosas, saag paneer, and chicken tikki masala to be extraordinary.

Right by the busy intersection of Newbury and Mass. Ave lies delicious Bhindi. The flavors at Bhindi are they key! Each dish (that I've had at least) presents a balanced flavor profile that really gets to the heart of Indian food. Don't mistake this for blowing your away with spiciness. Each dish is seasoned very well and just keeps your satisfied until the last bite. Adding to the allure of Bhindi are their daily lunch buffets. These really make this place great. Recommendatons: Saag Paneer, Chicken Dhosa, Chicken Tikka.

I went here with my roommates (both Indians) for my birthday, and it was the most disappointing birthday dinner I ever had. I ordered my favorite dish, Shahi Paneer. It was watered down and had absolutely no favor or spices whatsoever. It tasted like macaroni & cheese. I complained to the waiter, who gave my dish back to the chef to give it more favor. All the chef did was dump masala powder into it and turn it into spicy macaroni & cheese. I've grown up on Indian food. Back in elementary school, my best friend's mother used to cook me veg curry and chapatis for lunch. I've been to Indian restaurants all over the Boston area. I've been to India and had vendor food off the streets of Delhi. I even tried cooking a few Indian dishes myself. I used to think it was impossible to make Indian food bad, but somehow this place did.
