Bice Ristorante is an authentic Italian restaurant in San Diego. We came here on a whim and it was absolutely fantastic. I had a meat stuffed tortellini (my favorite pasta dish) and it rivaled those I get back home from my 100% Italian family. Being an Italian with roots to central Italy, and growing up on homemade Italian food, it's a breath of fresh air to eat at a place that takes the culture seriously! I recommend this place to anyone who wants the experience, a glass of wine, and an authentic Italian dish.

Pasta dish was good, simple but tasty combinations. Main fish course was overcooked and very dry..

This review is for the cooking class.
The owner of BICE who is also a great chef taught us how to make lobster bisque, grilled shrimp, an amazing italian quiche and panacotta of different flavors all in 3 hours. He is amazing teacher and always gives amazing cooking hacks, the food came out amazing .
Cannt wait to make my own food that I learned in the cooking class
Again loved everything about the class

This place was Excellent! We used a Groupon and I am so happy were bought that. It gave us the opportunity to try so many things we may not of otherwise. The Buratta cheese they bring to your table at the beginning is some of the best stuff I've ever had and also now a new obsession. Their lobster pasta was some of the best I've had although I don't ever care for that prep of lobster. It seems like a waste of a good thing all by itself. But there was tons of lobster and it was cooked well and flavorful! I had the beef and mushroom ravioli! That was excellent and the beef inside the ravioli was clearly present and very tender! I love being down town and also at a nice restaurant with big windows. The waiter at times seemed disinterested when I asked for recommendations but, I felt we did pretty well with what he suggested and our own choices. I can't wait to get back to this place the food was top notch and it's a great place for high class Italian food!

Went for Happy Hour on Friday and enjoyed the quality of food and service at a good price. Been here for dinner before and the food/service then was also excellent. Seating was comfortable, did not receive one of the tapas but it was removed from the bill for us. We ordered several rounds...

Truly "elegant", this "premium priced" Italian in the Gaslamp Quarter features fantastic Northern Italian fare – plus a dedicated cheese and salumi bar – in a sleek setting tended by a "gracious" staff; while some save it for a "special occasion", the happy-hour menu with deals on small plates and drinks is a steal any day of the week.
