Sometimes your order is right, sometimes it isn't. The food here is amazing and the line is usually justifiably long. Just be sure to be clear and repeat what you'd like to have, otherwise, you might get a surprise.

I wouldn't take anything Amelia W. wrote about Big Al's as gospel. It sounds like she's been there twice in the last 3 or 4 years. And by the way, working at a restaurant(s) doesn't exactly make you Gordon Ramsay. I eat here often and take co-workers here at least once a week (for the past year). The smoothies are fantastic and there are more items than one chicken sandwich on the menu. Before judging this restaurant, try it for yourself. I doubt you'll be disappointed. And don't allow a litany of complaints from someone with nothing better to do than to try and hurt someone's business turn you away from what may be a place you really like.

Because I'm health conscious and live and work near this place, I really, really wanted to like it. I just can't, for several reasons.

Cleanliness: I actually stopped going for about a year or so because of some rotting ceiling panels that were drooping with mold, mildew and other unmentionables you don't want to be eating. I went back recently, and while these particular panels had been replaced, others were on their way to that condition. There was food splattered on the ceiling above the preparation area. Having worked in many restaurants, I can tell you that if the front of the house, the part you can see, isn't clean, the things you can't see are worse. There have been tiles piled near the entrance for 2-3 years.

Service: I don't expect anyone to lay out a welcome mat, but service is cold and unhelpful. Probably the least of your worries.

"Healthiness": This is the biggest part of why I won't be back. During my last visit, I ordered a chicken wrap. I was about halfway through it when I noticed that the chicken was that preformed, precooked, solution-soaked product a la Tyson. It's something I would have expected on a Subway sandwich or an airport salad. I just sat there looking from it to a poster directly across from where I sat that read "Eat fresh for good health." Well, I do agree with that, which was why I was confused as to what it was doing in my meal.

I glanced at the menu again as I left, where it was described as "grilled chicken."
Putting sprouts and sunflower seeds on something and serving carrot juice doesn't make your restaurant healthy, and neither does deceptive advertising. I can't believe I paid $8 for that horrible disappointment.
