03/14/2010 4:25 pmWe searched for a local caterer for our wedding. We wanted small, finger foods and to keep it in a budget. With a glance at the Big Guys' Catering menu, we thought we had our place! Then we called. After being redirected to the owner's daughter, Kerry/Carrie/Kerri, the caterer of the bunch, she said she was at an event (saturday) and would call us back next day (sunday). No luck. We called again Tuesday, left a message and never heard anything. Thursday I called (before it had been my fiance) and said "Hi. We already made up our wedding menu from your restaurant. We really would like to work with you, but I'm losing faith in your reliability. Please call us back." No word. Finally I called again Friday. No answer again. So, I called the restaurant, told them what had been happening and they said "Oh, she's standing right here. I'm so sorry. I'll have her call you in 20 minutes." An HOUR passed. So, I called back to the restaurant and just told them to forget it, that there was no way we could go with them because who wants to be worried the food isn't going to show up on your wedding day?? The boy acknowledged it was totally unacceptable, didn't know what was going on and said he would contact the owner to get back to me right away and I could skip dealing with Kerri/Carrie/Kerry. Five minutes later, Kerri called me back, FINALLY. She said (go figure) she never received any of the messages from us and, she remembered talking to my fiance a a week earlier, but had just been busy. You know, kids are sick, etc. So, even though she was clearly lying about not getting the messages, she proposed that the online menu was wrong, the prices were off and she'd send me a revised version the next morning (Saturday). Curious to see if she'd come through, I agreed. It's Sunday. My email inbox is still empty. I haven't heard back from Ms. Carrie/Kerri/Kerry and am happy to take our business elsewhere. We'll probably go with The Dish Deli. The food looks AMAZING, they use local ingredients, and, I bet they'll call us back. |

01/16/2010 11:57 pmMy Wife and I like to search for a new Pizza place about every other week just in search of a great Pizza. We have found it. If you like New York Style Pizza, this is the place. Located on west 10th street, we drove all the way from Seven Hills to try this Pizza because of the good reviews. It's worth it hands down ! Must try the Fried Pickles Fantastic !!!! Great Price as well ! We will be back. |
