12/29/2014 10:19 pmDO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION. This location is frugal at the expense of the customer. I ordered a $9 sandwich and the bread was burnt and stale. Big Town Hero emphasizes the bread quality, and this has been seen and tasted at other BTH locations. However, at this location the bread had been overcooked and was not fresh. I ordered to go, made this discovery once back at my desk, and was extremely disappointed, and hungry. This leads me to believe that there is no quality control, and burnt, days old bread will be served to paying customers. This location also does not absorb debit/credit card fees and charges 1.00 for tap water. This location obviously has no concern for the customer, but rather its profits. A sense of greed is apparent in the food quality, customer charges, and customer service. |

02/16/2013 5:38 pmLove the sandwiches even though the price has crept up over the last couple of years (who can blame them). I would go there more if it was more convenient to my office. Did I mention I loved the sandwiches? |

09/10/2011 7:26 pmMoved to Portland from Florida, where I would get the best meatball sub from a place called Fire House subs. Gave this place a try because I'm craving a meatball sub. Man this was a huge disappointment! The meatballs were mushy and tasteless, what little sauce that was on it was bland and flavorless,. couldn't even taste the cheese and a meatball sub should be so loaded it's messy! $16.10 for 2 12" subs that you could get in a sandwich vending machine! I honestly could make one better by going to the grocery store and buying my own ingredients, which I plan on doing next time. |

03/16/2011 8:05 pmThis place won't stop putting hair in their food. This time, it was a three-inch black hair. And, if you eat half the sandwich before noticing the hair, they'll only refund half your money (because half of it was prepared without hair, and you should be damn glad.) When you compound the common hair in the food with the unprofessional way they deal with the problem, enough is enough. Not only will I not be returning, but the message has already been spread around the office: DO NOT GO TO THE BIG TOWN HERO ON SANDY!! Hope they start to teach their employees some customer service skills. |
