Bikini Cantina, Honolulu, Hawaii, Mexican Restaurant Details

Food:

This place is a total dump and is in need of a MAJOR update and renovation. The place was run by 1 girl (who was NOT in a bikini...in case you were wondering...and 1 cook I think) but service wasn't horrible because we were the only fools eating here (even then, a bit slow at times though). We arrived just before noon (they open at 11:30am) and they weren't even ready for us (nothing cleaned, tables on chairs, etc).

The enchiladas I had weren't bad, but all stuff from cans. The rice was terrible, beans were gross, and the corn the provide was in a color (green) that corn should never be in. Needless to say I only ate the enchiladas and even then kept wondering if I'd be sick later (I wasn't). Chicken tacos looked better, but chips were old and stale. Cheese sticks were decent. The menus are old and nasty and water damaged so you can't read much of them. They did list "fruit punch" so we ordered that for the kids and got a "sorry, we don't have FP" reply. Right.

If this places wasn't so gross it would be really cool but it's just falling apart (dirty, dusty, nasty) as is much of the aloha tower mall.

Bottom line...I wouldn't eat here again. On top of it all, it was quite pricey for what you got (in terms of quality of food). There are a zillion choices in this area, go to one of them instead.

Messed up experience...didn't get to eat the food but I was done by the first drink. Attitude from the server, paper the beer highly understaffed. I was seated and a customer and drink order taken by him. I will never recommend going there!

Food:

My all time favorite bar, lots of memories. Good prices and service but the food was hit or miss and most locals they had sucked.
