The pizza was okay, but the service is terrible. Once we paid they promised to bring it to us, and then we waited 30 minutes while they gave everyone else food.

The staff @ the Portland Bill's Pizza lack either basic customer service and/or basic math skills. I have gone to this location 2x now, both times with a local business discount. Each time when I questioned why the discount wasn't as expected per my employer, I was told by the wait staff (the same young girl in both visits) that she didn't want to argue with me on something so minor. On my second visit she made sure to state her opinion of my question loud enough for all to hear, perhaps to shame me into not questioning her authority. She over-rode my comments & continued to state "if you wanna argue..." The girl gave major attitude & was obviously annoyed by my questions. In the end she calculated my 20% discount to be $3. (50% discount, not the 20% expected) for the $6. wrap after I advised her that I'd checked with my HR staff to confirm after my first visit.

On another note, when I had asked about the ingredients in the tuna wrap, I was directed to their cooler instead of being offered a fresh wrap. I bought one from the cooler & upon arriving at my office lunchroom to eat it, I was disgusted by the soggy, doughy wrap I now had to eat for lunch. It was so soggy, I opted to eat only the tuna salad inside the "wrap". The tuna salad inside the wrap was as dry & tasteless as the wrap was soggy.

Despite the fact that the waitstaff disagreed with my claim as to the discount, there should have been no reason to demean me, their customer. She was rude and arrogant & I walked away not ever wanting to step foot in that place again. It's a real shame that they are in such a prominent location for tourism & will leave tourists & others alike a poor impression of the state of Maine & the City of Portland.

very good personal pizzas, the staff was super friendly and nice. awesome view of Portland. the wait was a little longer than expected. definitely would go again
