I would suggest the Tropical Salad and French bread if you ever go there. The other food is not very good and you don't get enough of it compared to the high prices. They give only 1 piece of bread and very small glasses for beverages. Seems like they don't want to refill. I used to love this restaurant 25 years ago, but it's not what it used to be. I would not recommend it.

Good just wasn't very good at all. Coq au Vin was very bland and the lamb steak was tough. Very expensive for the quality of the food as well.

It looks like a real french bistro, but it's just the worst of it : the top 100 of the worst variety french songs, disgusting foie gras and spelling mistakes in the french menu... The bread however was good, but it's not enough !

Was not impressed with Bistro Francais. This restaurant is very underwhelming, and I will likely never return. I went for restaurant week in August 2014. Firstly, the restaurant week menu was incredibly limiting. For the appetizer, I ordered garlic mussels! These mussels were freaking amazing! However, the entree was difficult to finish. I ordered a Brochette of shrimp, scallops, salmon with roasted shallots and saffron rice. The rice was dry. The seafood was not fresh and was undercooked. I have zero desire to return.

Eggs Benedict or Oeufs Bénédictine is exquisite. Even more so after a night out. This is what I typically would order at this institution of Georgetown. You can find this place packed at all hours and they are open late, really late. 4am late on Friday and Saturdays. Surprisingly you will see all types of patrons here and the staff are pleasant and the service is quick. The prices are reasonable for this high quality french bistro.
