Bites And Brews, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Vegan-friendly Restaurant Details

Food:

The pizza is good but expect to pay an arm and a leg for a beer. The tax is not included in the price, so I got charged $7.50 for a $4 beer. Huge ripoff. We live in Pittsburgh not NYC.

Went for a bite to eat and a beer with a couple friends. Dont get the nachos. They turned out to be a small handful of potatoe chips under a mountain of whatever it is they put on them. It was a huge disappointment. Decent beer selection and average food.

I love this place, especially if you are looking to entertain some friends from out of town. They have an amazing beer selection, plenty of TVs to watch a game on, friendly staff, and the pizza is excellent (you have to get a whole wheat crust). The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because I order from here regularly and every single time they have slightly messed up my order. It's almost comical because it is never such a terrible oversight that I send the pizza back, but in several years it has never been exactly what I ordered either. No matter what, try this place for great beer and pizza!

I love their food BUT this is the third time I went for lunch and they weren't open. Today I went at 12:15 and the doors were locked a bunch of mail shoved in the door ah doe and no one answering the phones. If you don't have someone to open why not just change the open times. Of course people want to eat for their lunch. In other news Harris Grill across the street was so busy. More than usual. Wonder why?

Food:

My first time a bites & brews was 10 out of 10. Food was great. I had the build your own sandwich which is a great option. I also enjoyed the selection of the local brews. Our server Lee was exceptional. Not only did she greet us, she sat us and served us. Truly an asset to the company. I will be sure to return in the near future.
