01/31/2015 6:55 pmIn my quest to learn more about DC and its rich history, some friends and I saw an excellent documentary - "Salad Days" about Fugazi, Henry Rollins and other punk bands in DC. Black Cat venue was excellent for this sort of thing. Good intimate ambience and sound system. Looking forward to future events here. |

11/19/2014 5:24 pmAnother cool DC music venue in the heart of one of the best city blocks in the District. Cash-only bar makes for a small inconvenience, but another cool dive bar vibe with great management. |

10/20/2014 3:03 pmFirst of all its about the music and artists and Black Cat delivers. The prices are great if you are fast enough. Let's call it city rustic and nice to see the bathrooms were renovated recently. I haven't eaten here yet but the staff is friendly. |

09/21/2014 5:57 amCool venue that attracts great acts. Nice bar situation. Too bad the place suffers from TERRIBLE FRONT STAFF!!!! The girl at the front desk accused me of not buying a ticket. AFTER I produced the ticket stub she continued to be rude and patronizing. An apology would have been nice. |
Food:
11/29/2015 3:03 am"Go see a show, get sweaty and drink beer" at this 14th Street "gem for live music" with two stages for "local and touring bands" plus a lower-level bar with "one of the greatest jukeboxes in town"; "friendly" bartenders pour "reasonably priced" drinks for a "young" crowd, so even if it's "nothing fancy", it's still "a rock 'n' roll good time"; P.S. it's cash-only. |
