03/27/2016 12:50 amAbsolutely the worst dining experience we've had. We were sat at a table that was sticky, as if the previous guests had split their pop on it. I asked the uninterested waitress if we could have our table cleaned. She proceeded to tell me, "that's how the tables are and it won't get any better." I told her that's unacceptable and she blew me off. We immediately got up and left that filthy restaurant. I WOULD NEVER STEP FOOT IN ANOTHER BLACK EYE PEA RESTAURANT AGAIN. Please don't waste your time or money at this establishment. |

08/27/2015 12:53 amOn a scale of 1to5, I would give it a 9. I would have given it a 10 but the cover on the tp was broken. Otherwise, I think we can attribute the new attitude to Jason. HE's back and the restaurant is clean, clean clean. Jason was awesome. I was late and he seated my friend and when I arrived, he knew exactly from my expression what I wanted and he escorted me to her and left me alone to look at the menu and get settled after being in the heat. Then he took our orders; got them perfect. Catered to our request for extra glasses of ice for our soda, catered to my request for creamy Italian since they didn't have it he improvised. When food arrived, he was a perfect waiter in that he didn't hover and constantly bother us with can I do anything else - he observed our table from a distance and let us get on with our conversation and eating and yet he was reasonably accessible to any raised hand for another napkin. All in all, it probably was one of the most perfect dining experiences I've had and I WAS RELUCTANT to go there and wanted to go to Arby's but my friend didn't. THANK HEAVENS. |
