Alright, it may not be pretty, but I used to come here every morning for an egg sandwich. They microwave them (- quality points), but it's fast, convenient, and oh so tasty. Great coffee too!

I have not been to this place in over a year because the owner and her "friends" that work for her have zero respect for customers. When you don't tip they actually say something to you about it. Who tips a cashier for ringing up a 20oz bottle of soda? I work in the building where this place is and if you even mention the "Black Rooster" everyone's face turns soar, she has really ran off all the customers. I'm shocked the place has not closed its doors yet.

When the owner isn't around, this place is charming, fun, and has good things to offer. When the owner is there (older lady with hearing aides) the atmosphere can be cut with a knife. She's grumpy, impatient, and will insult customers and not think twice about it. I had an American Express gift card which was giving the new Barrista girl some trouble, the owner came over and insisted the card didn't work b/c I had it next to a magnet (sorry lady, it worked two min earlier to pay for a MAX ticket). Then continued to insinuate that I had probably stolen the card, "you never know where people get these gift cards, probably stolen most of them".

I wanted to just cancel my order, but the new girl was obviously upset and embarrassed. I work in this building and pretty much can guarantee that when the owner is around customer service will be terrible.
