09/28/2014 3:51 pmThis has been a family favorite for over 24 years, and I still love their beef encheladas. I order their Mexican Dinner religiously, for $13ish I have three beef encheladas, a beef taco, a chalupa, a side of beans, a side of rice, and two flour tortillas. Even at my most voracious, I leave satisfied. This is not Americanized Mexican food, it's honest-to-goodness TexMex, and their huevos ranchiros have recieved more than a few awards. |

11/05/2011 1:51 amJust got home from eating there. This was our first time there. I had gotten a recommendation that food was good. BUT WE WERE FOOLED!!!!! THE FOOD SUCKED! THE WAITERS LOOKED LIKE RETARDS & THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! FOOD WAS COLD, TEA WAS BLAND HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! WE WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! THE GROUND BEEF WAS RAW AND OUR BEEF FAJITAS WERE LIKE RUBBER!!! NOTHING LIKE THOUSAND OAKS CAFE, THAT RESTAURANT IS THE BEST!!! BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT! |

10/27/2010 2:17 amWhen it comes to rating this place I give it a 1. This place is bad. I should know I use to work there. They use old tomatoes for the salsa, re-use tortilla chips from other clients and that goes for the tortillas too.Food not covered and they leave their eggs out. Don't use gloves when preparing food. I never saw the waitresses wash their hands between picking up dirty plates and serving other customers with there food. they also use food from the day before and serve it the next day. This food is not fresh by no means. Hey I have even seen the cooks drop food, pick it up and put it on the plate to serve the client.Waste not right. But hey if you like this kind of service have at it.. |

06/06/2009 10:30 pmThis place is the greatest- don't be confused with the other Blanco Cafes (I've never been to any of those)- this place has hands down the best tortillas in town and some of the most delicious mexican food I have ever eaten. It can be a bit greasy but it's so delicious that just writing about it makes my mouth water. The service is great when there aren't many people there, but it's not the best during their really busy times. Also their credit card machine has been busted a number of times I've been there, so bring CASH just in case!! |
