I have ate at blano cafe a few times and decided to order for delivery to my work place. The staff not only hung up on me but when I called back they didnt anwser. So after my third attempt at placing an order the lady on the phone was very rude making an excuse for why she hung up and then told me that my order would take 30-45 minutes when I only ordered 3 tacos and a tea. Needless to say after today I wont be calling to place an order for delivery anymore. They either hang up or just flat out dont anwser the phone. Very rude to act like that to a paying customer.

Nothing beats the original on Blanco. The same building for as long as I've been going there. Just walk in, sit where you want to and the menu is on the wall. Carry cash as they don't take debit cards. Good food, good service and it's cheap.

The chips and salsa are not free. I just think that all Mexican restaurants should include those (most do). Also, the dining area is just one small room crammed with tables, and I happened to be there during lunch time, so the place was packed and extremely loud. If you are looking for a nice, typical Mexican restaurant, this place is not it.

On the plus side, the food is excellent. From the chips to the salsa, the tortillas, refried beans, chicken fajitas, everything, even the iced tea, were all among the best I've tasted. I can see why this place is so popular with the lunch time crowd! To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, even considering being charged for the chips and salsa. I will definitely be back next time I'm in San Antonio.
