04/19/2014 9:29 amI went to the Blind Pig with my boyfriend for brunch. The reviews seemed good so we figured we would check it out. We got there a little early and they weren't open yet so we waited outside for about ten minutes. When they were finally open, we didn't even know it, 5 after 11 we tested the door and it was open, great. We walked in and we were the only people there, we expected more people to come in, especially because it was Saturday and they had a bottomless mimosa special... Nobody came in... Throughout the whole meal. The waitress came to take our orders and before leaving to the kitchen says, "It's early so I might forget your order and have to come back haha" ... Not funny. She did come back to ask, twice, and she still brought out the wrong food. We were the only table in there, just two of us, really? Also, we asked for a side of fruit for our breakfasts and she comes back to the table and says "The person who usually picks up the fruit isn't here yet so all we have is rock hard honeydew and cantaloupe.." We change our order to home fries and 5 minutes later she brings out the food with the rock hard fruit. She says "just kidding, we do have fruit!" What? The coffee was luke warm and the glasses used for the mimosa were not cleaned, leaving a disgusting wet dog taste after drinking out of it. The whole time we were there, the waitresses were sitting at the bar applying their makeup and gossiping. It took us ten minutes to finally get their attention that we wanted to leave, we ask for the check and the waitress takes one plate and brings it back to the kitchen, then goes back to the bar to apply her makeup.. I'm just like "helloo... The check?" She completely forgot. Never again. |

09/30/2013 3:30 pmPretty low key spot with average beer selection and full bar. The food is just ok - nothing too special but it's edible and some of the selections are pretty good (good salads). Check it out if you're in the hood. |

08/12/2013 12:40 pmI've lived close to the Blind Pig for a few years now, and mostly I've had great experiences here. I love to come here on weeknights because it's slightly less crowded, and the large booths are awesome for group socializing. On weekends, there is usually a DJ near the door, and he is pretty good about taking requests as long as the music fits the mood of the bar (mostly top 40 or 80s/90s/00s). I have some friends who know the bartenders really well, and they are always getting free alcohol. It pays to be a regular! |
