We had dinner last Friday and very disappointed with the food. We ordered scallops and lamb. Scallops were raw inside (surprise that they didn't check before they serve!). Lamb was super salty (loaded with salt on top)

Crab appetizer was delicious and service was great though

What had a couple of places that we had considered for my Wife's Birthday dinner. We chose The Blue Star because I had not been there yet. Let me first say parking is a bear (because lots of people dine here on Saturday evenings). We found parking across the street in an overflow parking lot which was not that far away.

We arrived around 7:30 and surprisingly we were seated rather quickly. I had called and requested a reservation but they were booked and they over the phone explained how the Lounge works and that is was first come , first serve. Which after being seated in the Lounge, we were so glad we did not have reservations in the Dinning Room (now the Wine Cellar would be a different story).

Once seated, we were greeted by our server Autumn (best server EVER!). Autumn was very knowledgeable regarding the menu, drinks and was also the deliverer of the Magic! She was fun, attentive and just really a joy. Did I mention we I was glad we did not have reservations in the dinning room? (although, I would recommend reservations if you absolutely have a schedule to follow)

We ordered CURRIED COCONUT CARROT SOUP and AHI TARTARE for starters an they both were out of this world. If I didn't eat another thing, I would have been totally satisfied. But we did not stop there. For dinner, my wife had the STEAK FRITES and I ordered the ALAMOSA BASS. Listen carefully now. These are a MUST HAVE! These dishes (because we shared and I know how hers tasted) are by far the best meals I've tasted in the Springs! I cannot even imagine what the other dishes are like on the menu. All the while, Autumn continued to be attentive to our needs, keep our drinks refreshed and showed us what a fine dinning experience looked like. Once we completed our dinner, we opted for a dessert which had peanut butter mouse and nuts and OMG was it Heavenly! I would post the name of the dessert here but I do not remember what it was called, but if you ask for the one with peanut butter mouse, you'll know what I'm talking about!

Our overall experience was completely delightful and Autumn exceeded all expectations we could have had. I'm so glad we chose The Blue Star and I can't wait to go back!

Thanks Autumn and the Mgt Staff for the special gift, can't thank you guys enough for making my wife's birthday an experience she won't soon forget.
