Best pho in Sacramento.

If it was like it used to be, I would give this place 5 stars no questions asked.
But it seems like they are making the same mistake allot of restaurants are making in this down economy. And that mistake is changing the quality of the food to save a buck. If you have to save $$,
DO NOT sacrifice quality!!!!
No matter what!! People will come for good consistency.
I used to live within walking distance to this place and loved going there AT LEAST twice a week.
I usually ordered the same things, and could always count on it tasting the same, (Yummy) and getting it the way I liked it. (Extra cilantro, rice vinegar, peanut sauce, and chili sauce on the side)
But alas, I last ate there in the beginning of 2011, I went a few more times just to see if it was just an off night, but to my dismay, no, it was the way it was…..
The quality has suffered. And the staff seems to have had better days.
Make the menu smaller, have a specials night to stay afloat on certain nights. Devise a plan that keeps the bills paid and really crack down and find other ways to save cash. Like free appetizers. Don’t think of it as losing money, because chances are, if your food is good, people will order more than just appetizers. This industry is brutal. If you’re looking at the wrong things and focusing on saving penny’s here and there, you will lose out on making a lot of money elsewhere.
My tip: focus on making the food good again. It’s worth the effort. You were there once, and I’d hate to see you guys lose it for good.

The food was okay, atmosphere was eh. Best part was the vietnamese coffee. And even though I was one of two in the restaurant, service was lacking. I'll stick with Pho Bac down the street.

Only okay. The pho was bland and was not served with any of the traditional sides (lime, basil, jalapenos or sprouts) we had to ask for them. The fried calamari was bland too. Nothing to get excited about but the price was right and the atmosphere was fine. The wait staff was not very quick.

Best broccoli and beef I have had in Sacramento. The soups are wonderful to. Try it out you won't be disappointed
