We were 2 min into eating our food and everything was fine until my girlfriend looked across at me dragging the longest hair out of her Philadelphia royal! "Pulp fiction voice" which was fine. One hair is understandable. I told her I would eat the sandwich which led to us switching because I painted the picture of all the skin cells that she couldn't see rubbing into the sandwich. In the end, we settled on her eating the other half. But she insisted to search first. Then she immediately pulled out a mini red hair. One hair is understandable but red beards extra addition was to much, which led to an immediate departure. This disappointed me because I was high and had the munchies. But its okay because now im at mellow mushroom and my pizza is about to show up like my African American father does :) moral of the story. Get good hair/beard nets because hair is a turn off especially on my gf. #kidding!

Let me start off by saying that they do have the potential to have good food. They serve BoarsHead products and have fantastic cakes. However, nearly every time we go there something is wrong. Once two people in our group ordered the "special" and both of them came out with molded bread. Another time a person in our group had a beetle on their tray next to their food. Today I was eating the Cajun wrap which a always get and it had a 8" hair in it. The building is not very clean looking either. I have had it with eating here and will spend my money somewhere else.

Bogie's is by far the best deli around. It's locally owned and operated, so you're supporting local businesses by eating there. the staff is friendly, food comes out fast, and all of their food is homemade. Fresh sliced Boar's Head meats and cheeses, delicious soups, salads, bagels & desserts made fresh every day. They even offer food for the holidays! I've been going to Bogie's Deli Mendenhall for years, even after changing jobs, which moved me further away. It's worth the drive. If you order like I do it can get a little pricey, but that's what I get for having so many favorite things. :-) My only regret is that I forgot to order a lemon square today.

Just a note - I worked at the Bogie's in Cordova just before they closed last year.

With that being said, the one on Medenhall has great food, maybe even better, than the one out in Cordova. Bogies has always been kind of expensive to me but from working there I know why - everything is home made!

But- the customer service at the location on Mendnhall is awful.

There is usually a young black girl at the register who is soooo sweet but everyone else I've encounter there seems high-strung and just plain out rude. Here are the two that really come to mind...

The older white blonde lady is obviously stressed over the lunch crowd - it seems like any minute she'll explode. And because she's so stressed she'll snap at you without realizing it. She also has mean facial expressions and seems to glare at me most of the time like I'm stepping on her toe or something.

One of the food carriers - a younger black guy is SOOOO rude!! He literally throws your food down on the table and leaves without a word or maybe a mumble. If it takes you a minute to raise your hand when he calls your name he gets an attitude - even though it's his own fault since you can't understand his mumbling.

Whenever you ask him a question he's really short and rolls his eyes. I was extremely sweet to him the first three times just to see if maybe he wouldn't be such an a$$ but I've given up on it now. I can't imagine all the complaints that guy must get from customers.

At the Bogie's in Cordova we were always polite even during the busiest hours.
