07/21/2016 2:30 amAmazing in every respect, chef Jon Bonnell's eponymous restaurant in Fort Worth's Overton Park shines thanks to an innovative menu of Southwestern and creative Texan cuisine (think exotic game, steaks and seafood), plus out-of-this-world drinks and wines, including a killer California wine list; excellent service and casually elegant surroundings add to the experience, which is expensive, but so very worth it. |

02/14/2016 10:21 pmFantastic! You must eat here! My wife and I go here four Valentine's day every year and it seems that every year it gets better. I cannot recommend this place enough. |

09/20/2015 3:53 amWe went last night and were less than impressed. The food was good, but my elk tenderloin and buffalo were both over cooked and the lamb chops tasted a little burnt. The server was decent, but did not refill drinks in anywhere near a timely fashion. When she did, she left the can on the table after refilling mine, but not the one a female companion had. That was left to me. The food runners seemed angry and slammed plates down in front of the incorrect person for the appitizers and called out the main dishes and had us raise our hands to get it. In short, if I wanted Chili's caliber, I would have eaten at Chili's, but we went here for the experience and the food and they did not deliver. My advice, if you like overpaying for mediocre service and decent food, this is the place for you. If not, there are plenty of other metroplex restaurants that do this type of service right. |

08/29/2015 1:42 amWe went to Bonnell's this evening to celebrate our anniversary. We had never been previously; we had a lovely time. The service was outstanding, but not quick. If you are looking for fast food, go to McDonald's, not an upscale restaurant. Our waiter paced our meal perfectly. We had an appetizer that was made with locally made goat cheese, and it was outstanding. We then moved on to entrees of a deliciously prepared snapper, as well as buffalo tenderloin in whiskey cream sauce. We were offered a free dessert in celebration of our special occasion. The meals are pricey, but we appreciated that many of the ingredients were locally recruited. |
