10/08/2014 2:05 amWent with some friends (total of six in our party) and we all found something on the menu we liked. Got the combos, so also got fries (or wedges) and soft drinks, for a reasonable price. We all liked it and left full to go watch a movie next door. Less then a block away from the Friendship Heights Metro station. |

08/25/2014 7:27 pmThe place is meh: it's just like any ol' deli shop that opened up in the 90's that lack in design and aesthetics. Food is okay. Had a chicken rico sounded banging, but it was just okay upon ingesting. It's one of those places you go after exhausting other restaurants in the area, or on a broke budget. Even then, I can find other places on a poor man's budget. |

05/29/2013 3:02 pmBooeymonger has numerous fans and I've never been able to sort out why. The original outpost in Georgetown has legions of students in its fan base, and perhaps that's why -- eat it enough during your formative years an it inevitably develops a place near to your heart. Sandwich combinations once sounded tasty and inventive; these days it's just the same old with pitiful execution. Looking back, I can't recall a time that it actually tasted good, just merely others' excitement and assertions that it was so. Breads are tough and abrasive, ingredients are low quality, bagels are downright indelible. The space is old and worn; service is nice enough. Dissatisfying across the board. |
