I would give zero stars if it let me.

My 30th birthday was back in March. My mother and my girlfriend worked with this bakery to design an impressive sheet cake for my party. The day of the party, the cake was to be picked up, and the cake had even had a down payment on it.

The bakery had no record they had ever designed the cake, and thus the cake was not made or provided. My family had to seek (disappointedly) an alternative. Sadly, the bakery didn't even offer any condolences or apologies for their blatant mistake. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere, as there are far more humane businesses in the city that can make equal (if not better) baked goods.

Great food ... outstanding homemade soups, great deli (best spinach pesto salad!), & wonderful pastries & cakes! I've been going here since I was little :->

My family's birthday cakes always come from this bakery. Wonderful flavor and if you forget, they can make a cake for you while you wait!

They have a decent selection of Italian foods at a reasonable price but certain items I was looking for weren't readily available even though they say they carry them. The canoli I ordered had been filled earlier in the day so when I got it the shell was super soggy. When I asked for the mortadella to be sliced thin it was still almost 1/8" think. So overall the service could use some improvement.

The customer service at this place is appalling and the place is far from sanitary. I have no idea how this place keeps passing inspections. The insides of the bakery cases are a frosting-smeared, dusty mess. The cold holding cases have an unpleasant odor that wafts up from within. I bought a hot slice of pizza and it had mold on the crust. How does hot pizza even get mold on it?! How?! Their solution was not to refund me, but instead to offer me any one item free from their discount day-old (by which, they actually mean, about a week old) table.

Who does that?!
