This is the armpit of the cultural district, my card was fraudulently duplicated here this summer and was used at Club Pittsburgh / 3 Rivers Leather Club. Very hard to get money back after money was stolen off my card. Manager could not help, owner would not call me back. An extra tip was put on my card after I signed the 2nd bill. 60 days later I still dont have a definitive answer on my money still. A lot of creepy friends of the bartender hang out and stare at you when you eat. checkout YELP reviews also, has happened to others, owner still never called me back. pass the word on we can help others from getting ripped off

After dealing with the rude staff, being assaulted by a strange man which the staff completely ignored. ....................what else can I say except I will never go back there. Don't go unless you're into men hitting women, employees that think it's no big deal.

I love this place. They have a standard on the type of clients they serve and it makes the atmosphere constructed for much enjoyment. Most places will let anyone in these days and I appreciate they cater to a higher class of respectable people. They are also hospitable to the cultural district's creative and social needs for those heading to one of the theaters. The food is wonderful and worth the wait on a busy day and if all your needs are not met the staff is more than eager to make up for it. I suggest showing up an hour or more before your show due to the congestion and because your food is made fresh from raw materials (another part I love). The night life is lively near the weekend and quiet during the beginning of the week, very diverse and a wonderful place to kick back and take your time enjoying the relaxed atmosphere....they have not been around for Nine plus years for lack of industry experience and negligence...the people complaining before I am sure were in some way not living up to the standards that this place seems to want to keep. This place is not for people who expect instant fast food microwave type gratification, but for those who want to sit back and enjoy a couple hours after a busy day.

The bartenders are simple rude. It was amazing to get an attitude from the staff when I thought they work on tips. Maybe not the case at this place. They were also out of 75% of the seafood on the menu. You are better off bringing your own drinks if you have to meet friends there. Would not recommend.

this place is gorgeous! I love places with lots open space, and bossa nova did not disappoint. food is very tasty as well. we had shrimp and a dinner salad...both were superb. drinks were great as well. i've only been on a weeknight, so I can't comment on the weekend vibe, but I'd definitely like to try this place again!
