"The name says it all" at this midpriced South Boston bar, home to a "great selection" of standard but "decent" American grub and "refreshing" brew to "wash it down"; with multiple screens beaming sports, it's mainly a place to catch a game and "hang out with friends."

Had a great wait staff and the steak tips were really good. Also make sure you try the garlic mashed potatoes!

Came to Boston for a Fenway weekend from California. We had been on a plane all day. The wife found a spot on yelp and we walked to it to stretch the legs. We past BBG on the way to that other place. We got to the other place a couple blocks away and it was just too stuffy. We went back to BBG. We had great food, great service and a great time. Clam Chowder was great. Ordered a burger and it killer. While I was there, they were sampling some brews that were great. This was the best meal of the weekend and we ate at some nice spots!!

they do serve drinks here, but just about everything else here sucks. way too loud most nights, food is average at best, eveything is about $1.50 or more than I would like to spend for such a cookie cutter place

Really bad service and even worse food. Music is always way too loud. Its unfortunate because this place could very easily be great. I don't know how you could make a worse burger? "Medium, sure" cooked until charred she should have said. It was worse than horse meat! Seriously! It's sad cause I live just around the corner. I wish I could rate them lower than one star. You have been warned!

I'm a big fan of this bar. The music is great--a mix of 90s rap, 80s r&b and hip-hop, reggaeton, etc. The place gets packed and can hold a good amount of people. The bartenders are quick, really friendly and make a good drink. What more can you want?
