Beer buffs who "love sampling" these "friendly" microbreweries' "fantastic" seasonal craft brews say the "standard pub food" "takes second place", though it's still "sastisfying"; they work for "all-around fun" at a "reasonable price", though the flagship next to Fenway Park is bound to be "chaos" "around game time."

Awesome place and great staff! Place was packed, but still able to get drinks with little wait. Everyone seemed happy before the Sox game and a really good vibe! Would come back before every game! 9/10!

Went here before a concert at the House of Blues. Overall, the food was good, the drinks were varied and (what we tried) were yummy (and reasonably priced). Since we were there around 5, it hadn't quite filled up or gotten busy yet, and we were seated right away. However, the service from then on was sub-par. We seemed to be sitting in a section where we were constantly forgotten about, and where no waitress seemed to have a clue if we were their table or not. After 10-15 minutes someone finally came over, and it was a struggle the entire meal to see her again for refills, dessert, the check, etc.

Very clean atmosphere. Friendly bartender, though could have had a little more personality. I found a bug of some sort in my beer - I didn't complain, just mentioned it as an interesting happenstance (it probably landed long after I got the beer). He made it right as if I'd complained though.

Had their "oktoberfest" beer. Was a good flavor and, dare I say, it was smoother than Sam Adam's with no interesting aftertaste. Makes me want to come back later - after I've booked a place to sleep tonight - and try the rest of the beer list!

Overhead music was good, recent music. Wouldn't call it "top 10 hits" like an obnoxious radio station, but it was new and good. Not just what was topping charts at the moment. Even had stuff I've never heard before that I wouldn't expect to hit the radio. I appreciate that, being in town for a Streetlight Manifesto show (mmmm nom nom nom Ska nom nom). Waitaminute, is that Owl City? Well done, Beer Works. Well done.

Menu looked good, priced as you'd expect in Boston. I didn't order but what I saw go by made me regret that decision a little.

Will probably return next year!

I like their beer, and I think the food is fine. I'm even impressed by their service before a Red Sox game. One of the better places I've stopped for a drink before a Sox game. You may have to stand, but you won't wait 20 min for a beer.
