Boudro's, San Antonio, Texas Restaurant Details

Food:

The food was spectacular and the service was above average. Lobster was decent, steak and vegetables were GREAT! Portion size was a little smaller than I think it should have been for the price and I waited 10 minutes for a drink refill and more than that for my bill. All things considered, 4 stars. Not perfect but I'd definitely eat there again.

I reserved a table for a party of four for the River Parade and paid $303.00 in full, with gratuity included. Since it was my first time visiting Boudro's, I was really excited to be spending our evening there; however, when I walked in with my two children, I immediately felt unwelcome. Though my server was nice and prompt with our meals, the staff in general was not friendly. At one point, my two year old threw himself on the ground as I was trying to get him outside and a waiter stepped over his head instead of waiting for me to finish lifting him. Appalled, I quickly moved my family to the outdoors where we were seated to view the parade. After a few minutes, my server came out doors to inform me I had a "balance." When I asked for what (again, I prepaid for a set menu that included non-alcoholic drinks) she informed me that I owed for the two glasses of tea and two glasses of milk my children had. At this point I felt embarrassed/pressured and paid. Then, as I thought about how rude we had been treated, I decided to not let this go. I pulled up the receipt and menu Meghan had sent me and asked to speak with her manager. The manager (Mike) was quite patronizing as I explained to him that I was over charged. Though he apologized, he also proceeded to rub my back. I felt this was very disgusting. Under no circumstances should staff touch a guest - especially when apologizing. I wasn't asking for his condolences, I was asking for a refund on the tea and milk! Please be wiser than I and choose to spend your money on a much more reputable business that values you as a customer.

Went here in an off hour (4PM) on a normal weekend, had a full meal and several drinks. The prickly pear margarita was pretty good but nothing else merits writing home about. Slow service considering there were only 3 other patrons we saw while we were there. It picked up about 5:30 and then they were suddenly in a rush to get us out, bringing our check wayy before we were done with dessert!

Sitting on the patio by the Riverwalk is nice!

Food:

WONDERFUL food and great service. We chose outdoor seating and got to sit right next to the river.

The food is absolutely incredible! I ALWAYS order the table side guacamole.

This is a great place to have dinner on the River walk. The chips, salsa, and guacamole are fantastic. Then you get to their main menu and that is good too. You should check this out if you are in San Antonio.
