Nicole thinks this place was ridiculous. It was supposed to be a fun celebration while on vacation. The Chophouse was horribly overpriced, total lack of creativity. Stupid, stupid food. Very limited, pedestrian side dishes (white cheddar mashed potatoes, green beans, or spinach sauteed in olive oil and garlic). The appetizers should be illegal. Limp calamari with horseradish mayonnaise and black sesame seeds... what is that????? And the worst artichoke and spinach dip with flatbread. If you love great food, don't go here. This place has a menu from 1990 and they are sticking with it if it kills them... which it probably will. The only reason they are busy is that you need to book the two great restaurants on the other corners of the street WELL in advance or wait an hour and a half for a table on a busy weekend. Someone please have Chef Ramsay cuss at them. It will make me feel better.

Mediocre appetizers. The tuna is merely ok. Chicken picatta was pretty good. Setvice was good.

Don't believe these 1 star reviews you see on here. This is a pretty busy place so if you expect to just walk in and sit down you're crazy. We made a reservation and we were seated in a booth in seconds. Our host was actually the GM who was very nice and gave us a good welcome to the restaurant. He also gave us a rundown of the menu and drinks, he definitely knew his stuff. The second he walked away our waiter Chris was at our table and asked us if we had questions and had our drinks on the table under 2 minutes. Chris was also knowledgeable on the menu and the specials. When we ordered he had everything down without pen and paper. Chris was very attentive because we ordered the calamari (which was pretty good for a steak joint with a surprise as a in twist) and he kept everything separate instead or appetizers and meals coming at the same time. I had the prime rib which was cooked perfectly and was very tender. My wife had the filet minon which was also cooked great and was well seasoned. I would agree the sides aren't anything special but who cares? You go for the steak not the mashed potatoes. Give me a break. I would recommend this place to anyone looked for an amazing steak at a reasonable price. Chris was also very generous to us for being first timers and the fact that it was also my birthday. I will admit it wasn't the busiest of times but Chris was such a good waiter I couldn't imagine his service being any different with how many people he is taking care of. I gave it 5 stars because it was more than deserving of it. Thank you and we will be back.

My boyfriend and his family usually love the Chophouse and have been talking about it, so I was excited to finally be going there for a family Christmas get together. We were a party of 8 so we asked to be seated in the dining room. We gave our drink order, got the drinks and were quite promptly ignored for the next 15 minutes. I got up to find our waitress (should I really have to do this at a supper club?) and was told she was very busy. When she finally came to our table, she was very defensive and made it clear that she was very busy. Food was ok - my boyfriend's "prime" cut of steak was covered in conjealed Bernaise sauce. My French onion soup was pretty average. My boyfriend's mother was mortified - she had never had service there like that before. I'm sure we'll try it again, but there is no rush to do so. Step it up Chophouse.
