12/21/2009 4:20 amI had a $100 gc and decided to go here. The french onion soup was good but not the best I've had. I had the scallops special as my dinner and it was very good, probably the best scallops I've ever had but the portion was very small. My husband had the duck and really enjoyed it. We had the Christmas special desert which we got for free because we waited a pretty long time for out dinner to come out. Overall the food was pretty good, our bill came out to $125 and that was with a bottle of wine so not too bad but a little over priced. |

10/30/2008 7:26 pmI had the pleasure of dining at Brasserie Jo with my girlfriend on a short vacation to Chicago. We went there on a whim after looking up the menu and deciding French cuisine sounded more interesting than the usual bar and grill. We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. At around $20 a plate, it was moderate in price, but the food was incredible. It was definitely better than many more expensive meals we'd had. The service was absolutely top notch, from the lady on the phone when I called ahead, to the hostess, waiter (Kevin - ask for him!), and busboy. Everyone was polite and friendly. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this restaurant. Both my girlfriend and I agree it was one of the highlights of our visit to Chicago. |
