Food:

Food was passable and just Ok. Counter person was none too friendly. I think we'd have appreciated it more if they weren't cleaning the back kitchen and taking out garage the entire time we were eating.

the interior of the cafe smelled like old wet mold and the coffee size medium should be a small, and it was way overpriced for it's quality. My mocha latte tasted more like chocolate powder than coffee.

Got take out sandwiches and salad. Love the house salad with walnuts, cranberries and creamy goat cheese. Sandwiches were inventive. Bread was chewy and flavorful and fixins very fresh. Great find.

Tasty and reasonable for a quick lunch. Had the special of the day, Grilled chicken on ciabotta with fresh hand cut fries, took less than 10 mins to go!

Bread and Brew is a great spot to hit up for inexpensive, delicious food near Dupont Circle. I haven't had a bad meal here - and their brunch has some of the best food in the city. It definitely lacks on the decor side of things, but it makes up for it in tastiness. The downstairs bar always has some great beer on tap as well.
