07/05/2015 7:36 pmI would give this 0 stars if that were a choice. My kids & I have dairy allergies & it was our 1st time there. We explained that to a man, who seemed like the owner/manager. From the moment he opened his mouth, it was one rude remark after another. When we asked if we could substitute goat cheese (non-dairy), we got a lengthy rude explanation of how much more goat cheese costs than regular cheese & that there was no way he could substitute, instead of a simple, "No, sorry, that's not possible ." When we tried to order something, saying no cheese on it was fine, again he was really rude & argumentative about it, instead of saying in a polite way, that that might not work. We also were limited on time, since I was on my lunch break, so we asked how long the food would take to know if we should order something faster to prepare. He responded rudely, "It'll take as long as it takes." When we asked what that meant specifically, he replied with the exact response. Fed up by how we'd been treated, we ended up cancelling our order & walking out. The manager didn't ask why nor did he seem to care. I've never been treated so poorly before in a restaurant. My family & I obviously won't be returning & I'd recommend to any self-respecting person to avoid this place as well. |

10/23/2014 7:59 pmHorrible first experience. We sit down and order drinks first. My drink had absolutely no flavor in it, just carbonated water. Understandable. We wait about 5 more min and get my second drink and order our food. VERY SIMPLE ORDER, we order six bruschettas each. One of the servers was on there phone the majority of time and the other was flirting with two customers. We wait 40 min and finally get our order after the chef walks to the front and yells at the server that the order is up seeing as how they are unatentive. We get our order and have one bruschetta missing and in its place is a chicken salad. We have the salad taken away and with absolutely no apology they tell us that the other bruachetta will have to be made. Got up after discovering the bread was literally raw. Not toasted at all. We got up and paid and received no acknowledgement. Absolutely terrible service and food. |

07/13/2014 1:47 pmTry the Manzetta. Italian beef, like you get back east. Porchetta's really good, too. Lots of veggie options. Sweet selection of local beers. |

07/02/2014 9:12 pmStopped by Bricklight Dive on Harvard off Central today with my friend. Figured we would try something new, as it was near where we were. We ordered, making sure to tell the brunette that was serving that he cannot have any bell pepper in his food, major food allergy. We get halfway through, he starts choking and pulls the remains of a red bell pepper out of his sandwich. The server's response? "It's not supposed to be in there, sorry." No concern showed for his health, no offer of assistance. She even demanded he still pay for the meal. I had to take his car, go to walgreens and get his allergy medicine for him while he suffered and argued with this woman. Eventually the manager came out and waived the bill. I returned to find him in the shop next door still gasping for air. We got him home and stabilized, but sure as hell are we not going back to that dump ever again. |
