Best diner style breakfast in town. Service is slow, but they're nice, which is all you can really ask for from a brunch place in Portland.

A classic in barmuda, now that Genies has taken over the food is as good as the booze.

What a unique atmosphere for a bar! It really feels like you're in space. This is a great place to hit when circling the Mt Tabor bars. It's definitely my favourite in the area. The only thing that would make it better would be a covered smoking area for the rainy season. Alas! Try the fruity cocktails, they pack a punch!

With a name like Space Room it is hard to go wrong. You add some of the strongest drinks I have had in years and you have a winner! The specialty drinks are lots of fun. They have silly space related names. One drink is even made with Tang! Astronauts drink Tang so it has to be good. The service was prompt and friendly. The drinks were strong and not tiny. The prices were pretty reasonable too. Did I mention the drinks were strong? And yummy.

The Space Room is a Portland tradition. Hip before the hipsters took over, and staunchly unique, you don't come there for the food, or even the drinks, you go there because it's the frigging Space Room and you like the Atomic Age, and cocktails.

The Space Room used to be well known for making really stiff drinks, and that has slipped some over the years, but that may not necessarily be a bad thing.

There is a little "entertainment" area off the upper end of Hawthorne, and so the Space Room makes a great spot if you're doing a pub crawl.

A plus is that they have their own (though often full) parking, and who doesn't want a date where you tell your prospective paramour "I'll meet you at the Space Room"?

I've had the food, and tried a variety of drinks, nothing to write home about, but solid and a fair value.
