Best mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy and chicken strips!

It seems a little pricey when ordering, but all is forgiven upon seeing the massive servings. It is sometimes noisy, but aside from that, I have no complaints.

The Brook is a neighborhood staple in midtown's Brookside district. While none of it's dishes are unique or groundbreaking, all are classics and well crafted ones at that. This is a great spot to go with a large group of friends, or to catch a sports event on the many TVs stationed in the bar area.

Service is typically very good, and the food is typically great.

I'm a huge fan of the Mac & Cheese, a side that could be a dish on its own. Again while it's a pretty basic recipe, they use good shells and don't hold back on the creamiest cheese you can get.

This is not fine dining, this is not a quiet atmosphere, this is not a fresh experience, this is just a great, local feeling, comfortable place to enjoy the company of others and some great food.

My third favourite all time restaurant. Amazing casual dining atmosphere in an old movie theater converted to restaurant. The price to portion ratio is simply outrageous (in the good direction). Their "appetizer" plate of mac and cheese was alone more than enough to completely fill me, and I am by no means a light eater. It was easily a pound or more of mac and cheese poured onto a standard sized dinner plate until the mountain of mac could literally hold no more, than brought out to you.

I had ordered the mac and cheese "appetizer" as well as a burger and had to simply get a to go box for the burger because I was already unable to put more food in me by the time the burger came out.

The other food they have is also expertly prepared and service is prompt and friendly, and for anything on their menu the price to portion ratio is insane.
