Brown Baggers, Lincoln, Nebraska Restaurant Details

I was mixed on choosing "dislike" and "it's okay" for the star rating. Today I visited Brown Baggers on South 84th street after going to a dr appt in the area. I live in North Lincoln, so I do not get to this area very often. Anyway, it had been some time since I've been to the location and had their sandwiches. I am a big fan of the Italian Bo Panini, which is totally awesome. However, today when I took the sandwich out of the to-go bag I was horribly surprised that the size of the sandwich had shrunk - ALOT!! In fact, I was so shocked at the size of the sandwich that I got out my ruler and measured it - it is now exactly 3" x 3"!!! I'm not exaggerating at all!! I've been visiting Brown Baggers for several years now and in that time, I believe, they have changed the sandwich 3 times. At first it was called a "half" sandwich, when in fact it looked like a full-size sandwich you would get anywhere else, and I would say it was a good 4" x 4" or 5" x 5" - and I had no problem paying the price for it. Then, if you wanted a full sandwich, you actually got two of these sandwiches, but for a little bit more money - still worth the price. Then, later on, I believe they did away with the "half" and just called it a full sandwich and I believe the size stayed the same. Now its down to 3" x 3" and TOTALLY NOT worth the $4.69 for the sandwich and pickle. I opted for the meal "deal" and paid $6.49 and got a side to go with it, which I chose the macaroni salad, and a cookie that is like 2" in diameter. You can choose from (I think) chips, macaroni salad, or potato salad. However, the macaroni salad and potato salad are very, very, very small portions. I would say maybe 3oz! So, lets see, $6.49 for the sandwich, pickle, side, and cookie or $1.80 less for just the sandwich at $4.69. I guess going for the meal deal was an okay choice - but NOT with the size of the sandwich now. It is totally ridiculous, to me, that they got greedy on their portions. Sad to say, I wont be back to their business again - no matter how much I loved the Italian Bo Panini!! Unless of course if someone else is buying! But still, a 3" x 3" sandwich isn't going to fill you up too much, so I would have to get two - and I'm not some kind of a pig or anything. Its just not right!!
