Bruegger's Bagels, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bagels Restaurant Details

Food:

Poor execution of a simple meal. Had to throw our food away after taking only a few bites because it just tasted so bad. We had two of their "grilled" sandwich options, but the bread was squishy and damp.

There are 2 other Brueggers Bagels closer to my house, but I stopped at this one once driving by and it is the one i go to now. I'm in probably 3x a week if not more, always for breakfast to get my double egg and ham on an onion bagel. The staff is super nice and always remember my extra cup of ice with there incredibly hot coffee... In reading some of these other reviews I think I can spread some light on the negativity. This Brueggers is in kind of a ritzy area, with lots of middle aged woman with their noses up in the air- nothing pleases those type, and I would take their comments in one ear and out the next, just like their husbands do... Stop at this Brueggers, you'll like it.. And say hi to me if you stop in the morning. I'm the one usually with a pair of orange crocs on ;)

I had forgotten how bad this location is. This time, the General Manager took order for 3 everything with olive pimento and cucumber slices. Went to back through doors for supplies never changing gloves. No protective glove underneath. Noticed they use the messy counter without paper under each item as done in most stores.At best counter brushed off but not actually wiped to prevent cross-contamination. Later we discovered he used jalapeño instead of olive pimento. Tried calling twice to say I was sending a daughter back, no answer. He ended up waiting on her, non-descriptedly (correctly) remade without comment or apology ending with a "try these." While there she observed another worker badge staff or shift manager handling many things without glove changes. Sanitation terrible, customer relations terrible - neither near Bruegger's standards. This from a family that had a daughter work 2 years at another Edina Brueggers where such would never occur.

Recommendation - go to Southdale or either St Louis Park location.

Terrible. The overweight woman working on March 16th at 3:30 p.m. with the dark hair (that should probably be up), was extremely rude and unhelpful. There was noone in the shop (surprise) and they could not get the order completed; then after waiting 15 minutes, decided to help a customer behind me instead??? She conveniently had no name plate tag on--probably the manager. I do not recommend going to this location--very unprofessional, which makes me question cleanliness, et al. To top it all off, they got the order wrong--how do you screw up a PBJ?

Terrible customer service! No hello, nothing. Just a blank stare while I'm trying to decide what to order. It's very uncomfortable when someone is staring at you with a grumpy face behind the counter. When asked about the coffee, the woman acted like we were bothering her. Not quite the best start to my day OR the customer service I usually get from brueggers!
