what I can complement about this bar is the cheap beer and the service by the server. there were two actually and only one did a good job. the other who knows who she is was pretty bad and had a bad attitude to boot. seems like she brings her problems to work. she basically contradicted the menu that said no attitudes. i've been a bartender for 9 years and she is not bartender/server material.

i did however meet some very friendly people in there and they played good music. one was generous enough to by me a shot. its pretty dirty but i'm assuming it's an older bar. might go back if in the area again one day.

shout out to tommy for buying me a shot!!!

Grotesque is a good word to sum this place up with. I went to this place one night with some friends of some friends who had been there before, after getting a tattoo next door. I was not very fond of the bar. Filthy, it smelled weird, and it was male dominated. Mostly older men. Emphasize "older". Not to mention that it's pretty heavily vandalized. Especially our booth. Our waitress seemed kind of flirtatious. Maybe she was trying to score extra tips, but my guy friends weren't having it. She was nice, and quick, but we just wanted her away from the table. Was afraid to order food, so I didn't. Had a two beers and begged to leave.

That Micheal Moore review is full of crap, and chances are the owner, who I'm told is a cheap, and aims to rip-off probably bribed him to write such a review.

This place is the epitome of a dive bar. I'm told the owner is a raging alcoholic from New York, who serves only generic liquor (That's right, no top shelf liquor) and even goes as far as to water it down. Not to mention my beer was hardly cold. One employee told me that he buys his booze from the liquor store, which is illegal, as you're suppose to get it from a distributor. The food was all kinds of awful. Five mini corn dogs for $8 and the cheap owner tries to justify it by saying, "we do what we can". It tasted like the grease hadn't been changed in months, and my mini corn dogs were feces brown. It's poorly ran and the bartenders are some of the worst I've seen in Memphis. My bartenders were a 400 lb guy, who wouldn't stop running his mouth, as if he knew everything, about everything, and the other was some blond airhead, who was face deep in her phone all night. You're better off going around the corner to Hadley's or down the street to East End. I assume it's the regulars who keeps this place open. Then environment wasn't too youthful either. Nothing, but a bunch of old alcoholics. Think of it as Mugs in Bartlett.

I have no desire to ever return to this dump. The man who runs this place does NOT, I repeat does NOT belong in the bar business. Fox and Hound FTW!

This is a pretty mediocre establishment. Dirty, smelly, and the girls are nothing to look at. They seem a little trashy if you ask me, but that's beside the point. The beer was cheap which is a plus, but the pool tables are old and the bathrooms are so filthy I was afraid I'd catch something if I even touched anything, so I went across the street to Captain D's got food and used the bathroom, especially after seeing how much they were overcharging for food. The bartender talked like Boomhauer from "King of the Hill" and the Long Island Ice Tea he made my fiancée had very little liquor in it. He "b**ch pours". I sat there and watched. I should have called him out on it. Not a very energetic and social staff. Makes me wonder if the manager just hired relatives.

This place has good qualities, but the bad outweigh the good significantly. It has potential and is in a prime location, but someone else need to take over this place pronto! And I don't mean a staff member, because they're just a bad.
