Buca Di Beppo, Albuquerque, New Mexico Restaurant Details

Food:

This is strictly in regards to take out....my family has eaten in the restaurant on several occasions and generally have enjoyed it. However every time I order takeout, they can never be punctual and they don't seem to care. This last order we ordered an hour and 15 minutes ahead of time and they still weren't ready......in fact they told me it would be at least an hour longer to get my order. I asked for something else and was told at least 30 minutes. I said no thanks, I'll just take the salad that was also ordered. The man went to go get that and I was expecting it would be free, or at least discounted....no he came back and charged full price for the salad. Very disappointed at their customer service. Not sure if I would go back.....didn't feel like asking for a manager so I walked out with the Cesar salad with mediocre dressing.

Food is good but have had better. Took our daughter for her birthday and they do sing but they don't even provide a small dessert for the birthday guest that cost extra. No salad with your meal and bread sticks are at a cost. They say the small feeds 2-3 people I'd say three only if one is a small child. The women's bathroom smells of urine really bad. We went we tried but will not return. $110 for 4 of us.

Family style with large portions. Very good food. Chicken parmesan is great. Great atmosphere

I dont know when the customer service here went downhill but it has...badly. placed to go order today around 11am. Arrived, paid received order. Order was wrong, hostess came out, told her it was wrong. She sent Mgr out, he took entire order. About an hour later hostess came back out with a credit card slip for a buck...wtf a buck! We had allready paid $47 for 2 small entrees. They didnt charge correctly, so even with wait and wrong food they still insisted we owed them a dollar. Finally got food, got it home, both entrees cold. Baked rigatoni had rosa sauce, not meat sauce, no sausage and was unbaked. So basically it was unbaked, baked ziti. Which is ironically $1 less!!!! Called to complain , but same useless uninterested Mgr wasnt willing to do anything. Really disapointed. Used to enjoy but i dont forsee going back unless they get some new mangement, common sense, and customer service training

I have been here 3 times, so writing this based on the varied levels of experiences at this restaurant.
Been here with a very large group of people, once with just my daughter, and then with a small group of family. I always enjoy the atmosphere, it encourages the casual, family style dining, to relax, talk, laugh hearty, and have fun (just keep your shoes on!).
Waiters are encouraged to be friendly and casual, with a professional undertone. You know they are they to serve you, but they seem more like the neighbor kid at work, than a stuffy server just trying to get a big tip. If you stop a waiter that is passing by for something, they don't blow you off if it isn't their table. They help, or pass the word on to make sure you get what you needed.
The food has always been pleasant, served at the proper temperatures, and never gotten anything under or over-cooked.
I recommend them frequently, to anyone that I know that is looking for a good Italian food restaurant. But if your on a date, it might be better to double, as the portions are usually intended to feed 4, unless you are just going to share a salad!
