09/22/2010 4:29 pmMy experience was nothing like everyone below who raves about the food. The service was slow, the food was mediocre and we were seated adjacent to 3 other tables when there was plenty of room throughout the restaurant. The service was not only slow, it was completely out of order (i.e., appetizer was served before the kids had their drinks, and the 2 alcoholic drinks we ordered came long after everything else). In addition, the fried pickles came out cold and had to be remade. Not the best experience but I am hoping it was just a fluke. I will try it again but have most definitely lowered my expectations. |

04/25/2010 11:25 pmfried pies with ice cream are the best dessert i have ever had! And the fried pickles are amazing too! Great burgers, great chicken fried steak, and the atmosphere and people are great! If you do not like this restaurant then you suck. |

04/25/2010 11:20 pmDefinitely an Arlington classic... whether you're new to the area, vacationing, or have lived in Arlington for years, Buck n' Loons is a wonderful restaurant for great food, good atmosphere, and personable experience. My favorite is the cajun chicken dinner with a fried apple pie a la mode! Not to mention... they have a plethora of catering options-- from fancy receptions and wedding hors d'oevres to box lunches for college sports teams. A favorite for Kidd Kraddick, Nolan Ryan, and plenty of traveling college sports teams! The Baylor baseball team couldn't stop raving about the burgers! |

04/25/2010 10:49 pmFirst of all, I love diet coke, and I love that Buck n' Loons' service keeps my diet coke full (great service!) I also love their Loon's Juice (which is their special bar drink... it is super sweet, with a nice kick of rum... a great Friday night beverage). My favorite meal is the Catalina Salad and the homemade Meatloaf. My husband loves their huge burgers and homemade onion rings. We go pretty frequently and always have a great experience. We love that their prices are reasonable and that they have a huge menu of great food items to choose from. :) |
