07/15/2015 1:23 amPortions were very small, waitress new absolutely nothing about the dishes, we dined outside where there is a bus stop and the occasional crackhead stumbling about, kettle and tonic was 15$ and bottle of cheap wine was 35$ bill was 120 for 2 adult and 1 child that got food, she complained about the potatoe salad and they brought fries out to her so that was a plus, the food was great though |

04/12/2015 1:48 amNice atmosphere but....... the portions are really, really small for the price. If you charge $14 for a hamburger it should be 8 oz not what looked to be 4 on a tiny roll and small fries. My guest had fish and chips he had to return it and ask for more f fries, they put about 9 fries on and said I think they forgot the chips. Now if my wife was a dress size 1 supermodel she might have been satisfied with the $26 scallops but alas she is not. Come on guys if your gonna give small main courses at least bulk up the plate with more vegetable and a starch (potato or rice is a la carte as in a steakhouse). I live in NY so I get it but I shouldn't have to go home and eat a cheese sandwich to fill up after eating out. |

03/19/2015 7:30 pmSuch a cool restaurant and bar. Great vibe. Creative and delicious drinks. Top notch local sourced foods on the menu. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. The deck out front is super chill and a great place for a date, or just to have a chill dinner after some book shopping at Politics and Prose next door. |

11/22/2015 7:30 pmIt's a pleasant surprise to find this deliberately informal Van Ness American rolling out dishes that would make it anywhere, including its signature wood-grilled steak and delightful seasonal vegetable dishes; literally campy decor (e.g. a canoe hanging from the rafters) and a wood-lined, firelit setting enhance the overall fun experience. |
