09/02/2012 1:20 pmThis place is insanely good. It is the vegan version of a very famous Dim Sum and other great Chinese foods restaurant called Legends. The name on the door actually says Legends Vegetarian Restaurant and the sign is green. Physical details aside; so the food is amazingly good. They bring a cart, they ask you what you want and you munch down on the best vegan dim sum you have had in your life with lotus root, taro, yam/sweet potato, mushrooms, and just plain yumminess inside. ALL VEGAN. That said, I am not a non-sugar or non-honey eater so if you are you should ask. Nearby is a cool Shinto Temple so check that out as well. |

Food:
12/30/2009 2:35 amThere is limited vegan choice in Honolulu (or all of Oahu), so it is great to have such a restaurant. But, spring rolls were probably fried earlier and refried to serve us. Spring rolls were filled with just mushroom (no veggies). The waiters scoff at even slightest request (for example, withhold fake meat). But, corn cream soup and vegetable fried rice were great. |

12/03/2007 3:49 amWe used to go there on Sundays for the dim sum whenever we could - very tasty and quite different from the usual veg fare. Service can be glacial and there is nothing you can do to speed it up; take a newspaper, sip the tea, and the food will get to you in due course. |
