They must hate the customer - I ordered a large cheese pizza to go with extra sauce. About a half hour later the pizza is ready but with very little sauce. Ten minutes later a cold pizza is given to me, with a layer of liquid tomato sauce not even cooked. The bartender, where I was waiting saw this, called the manager, who made me another which was done right. All told I waited one hour for a carryout. As I left I asked the manager if this was right. I was ticked because the person I was dropping the pizza off for was going to be asleep when I finally arrived home.

The manager looked at me like "what do you want me to do". She finally and begrudgingly gave me two five dollar coupons, which basically anyone can print for free online. This is contempt for the customer.

Being from Chicago I definitely have a taste for good pizza. Buddy's Pizza does not disappoint. From the outside it doesn't look like much and it's in one of the roughest cities in the U.S. But inside there is a friendly atmosphere with top quality food. What was most surprising was that they offered vegan cheese That being said I couldn't wait to try their vegan rustic pizza and I ended up coming back two more days because I couldn't get enough. Would rate it higher than 5 stars if possible. Do not skip over this place if you're in the area.
