Buffalo Wings N Things, Portland, Maine Restaurant Details

Food:

This guy, Ben, one of my best friends from way back. Guy goes nuts for hot wings. Realistically, he'd eat hot wings every day, every meal, any setting or situation. We're walking down Munjoy Hill, I'd just moved there, and we stop in to check this place out.
I don't know his name, so I'm calling him Chef Buffalo. He greets us from the kitchen immediately (we're the only ones in the store, and we look cold, it's cold out). Very friendly. Per my nature, I instantly inform him I've never been before, and this fellow gets his Game Face on.
He laddles out two portions of split pea soup, hot, on the house, in little cups to us "to warm up our bones." We asked about the wings, and ordered a fresh batch of regular buffalo. I inquired about a specialty item, and Chef Buffalo even provided me with a free sample. This guy really nailed the Friendly, Accomodating, Welcome to my Restaurant thing down. Even as we ate there was a pleasant dialogue, and as we left he mentioned his early evening beer specials (Extra tall pints of lager for $2 "slam some of these then head to the Old Port and cause trouble")

We didn't slam those. But you know what. I think I'm going to go back and do just that. For reals.

Food:

I ordered two wraps, the buffalo chicken, and the honey mustard chicken, both were awful. While they were rather inexpensive, it still wasn't worth the money. I won't go back.

This place is the best. Awesome service and great food. Cheap beer and the best wings in Portland!!
